Bleeh….I’m in a bad mood. First of all, it has been raining for days and days. It’s a typically Dutch rainy summer that feels more like fall. Second, I was supposed to go to a festival in Poland (to see my favorite bands the Raveonettes and Sons & Daughters), but it has been cancelled :-(. So now I’m telling myself that the weather will get better (ofcourse) and there are lots of other outdoor gigs to go to (ofcourse). In a couple of weeks I’m going to see Blur in Hyde Park, so please please please dear weather gods, let the weather be nice!
And no mud please….!
Never understood why all girls walk in Wellies. Sure, they are waterproof, but they walk like shit.
Much better: sunhats.
A festival classic: a t-shirt, worn with a lace or floral skirt or as an oversized belted dress.
Fearne Cotton in a tunic dress and brilliant boots at the Isle of Wight festival.
Kelly Osbourne in a colourfull printed kaftan.
Cat Deeley in an embroidered playsuit. Lovely, but what if you need to go to one of those filthy Dixie toilets?
Alexa Chung looking like a festival expert. (Hmm, this could be a nice topic for Gok’s Fashion Fix: how to look expensive in highstreet gear on a festival site?)
Simple and cute, I love her skirt.
Less simple but very glamorous, Dita von Teese at Choachella.
I love everything on this girl, her hair, the sunglasses and a pretty dress. Too cute.
i didint know you were gonna go to Poland! (with P or not?)
i knew about LDN!!!! i wanna go too! but appartment here wecome!!!
I love my wellies. I’m sorry you missed the Ravonettes. I bet they are amazing live.
I tried to walk in them at the Lowlands festival, but after two days of walking I had horrible back pain and couldn’t bend my back anymore…very impractical when you’re sleeping in a tent.
I’m glad you didn’t have this experience.
And yeah, they are amazing live, I’ve seen them a couple of times before, but they don’t seem to play in Europe that often anymore.
Ouch! You are right, I would not think fondly of any shoe after tha happened to me! I live in a rural area of the States, so mucking around our property for a few hours is alot different than wearing them for days at a time. My biggest problem is getting them off. They like to suction themselves to my foot!
Have you been to South Korea? Korea has Mud Fesival every year, lots of fun!
No, I have never been to South Korea and I’ve never heard of teh Mud festival before…..but I found it on Google and gosh, i didn’t even know something like that existed!
